How to use Murmuring Obols

You’ll need Murmuring Obols in Diablo 4 if you’re interested in buying anything from the Purveyor of Curiosities. At most towns or hub areas, you can find a merchant who is selling mystery items. Basically, you can purchase something like armor or a weapon, without knowing if it’ll be Common or Legendary.

This is also the place to purchase Whispering Keys, which only cost 20 Murmuring Obols. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind a small gamble, and wants to take a chance at a high-ranked item, you’ll want to get Murmuring Obols.

How to get Murmuring Obols

The only way you can earn Murmuring Obols is by completing random events throughout Sanctuary. While you’re exploring the overworld, you may come across a random event that will earn you rewards. They can either be completed alone, or with some friends.

Either way, once you complete any of these random events, you’ll end up receiving some Murmuring Obols. Not just that, but there are plenty of other rewards in store. Make sure you’re not avoiding these events; try to challenge yourself, especially for the Mastery requirement. This is a task you must complete during a world event that will net you even more Murmuring Obols. Luckily, this currency doesn’t take up space in your inventory, but is stored within your other Materials.
