A more woody wood.

Hardwood is one of those resources in Coral Island that’s harder to come by, so how do you get some? It’s not as easy to find as normal wood.

There are a few different ways to acquire Hardwood in this farming and life sim, so let’s outline them all below.

Coral Island: Where to get Hardwood

While these processes may sound easy at first, it’ll take some time to get your hands on this resource. How you can get Hardwood in Coral Island is by cutting down fallen logs with a Silver Axe. Have you ever seen logs like the one below where it looks to be fallen over? With a normal or Bronze Axe, you won’t be able to chop them down.

Instead, you’ll need to visit a Blacksmith and upgrade to a Silver Axe. You craft this by using one Bronze Axe, five Silver bars, and 20 wood. Silver ore is available throughout the Water mine, which is the one you unlock after the Earth mine.

With your new axe, you can now break down those logs for Hardwood! But what happens when you run out of these logs on your farm? Well, once you finish six bundles from the Lake Temple Offerings, you’ll unlock a new part of the island in the middle of the forest.

Then you’ll unlock the deep forest with 14 completed offering bundles for even more Hardwood. Luckily, they’ll respawn occasionally in these unlocked areas, so this is where you can farm for Hardwood.

There’s still one other place you can find Hardwood, but you’ll have to purchase it. You can buy Hardwood from the Carpenter at Town Rank B. This is only if you’re desperate for some, since by this point, you should have most offering bundles completed anyway.

Since Hardwood is required for certain crafting recipes like Gold and Osmium tools, you’ll definitely want to get your hands on some. Just remember not to gift it to anyone, since it’s a universally-disliked gift.
