Dead Island 2 How To Unlock Numen Skill Cards

How to unlock Numen Skill Cards in Dead Island 2

Something to look forward to.

Dead Island 2 ditches a standard level-up system in favor of Skill Cards. These come in four different varieties as Abilities, Survivor, Slayer, and Numen cards. But you may have noticed that Numen cards are unavailable during the early portions of the game. And since you don’t get them for a while, it’s only fair to be a little curious about them. So, here’s a quick explaining what Numen Skill Cards are and how you can get them in Dead Island 2.

Dead Island 2 – What are Numen Skill Cards

Numen Skill Cards are just like the others you can unlock. However, the big difference is that they give you access to more powerful abilities. Since your character is immune to the zombie virus, they can instead channel that into these abilities instead. And it’s true that Numen cards are indeed powerful, but more than a few have a cost attached to them.

A couple of Numen Skill Cards are pretty nice and don’t have a downside. Seismic Stomp is one and this gives your Skull Stomp an area-of-effect explosion that inflicts bleed and drains stamina from zombies. But then there’s Anger Management, which uses your health to fuel Fury Mode. In practice, these cards offer some pretty great abilities, so there’s a reason they’re locked out until a point in the story. But you need to be careful about how you use some of them unless you want to hit that respawn button a lot.

When do you get these Skill Cards?

You won’t get any Numen Skill Cards until you’ve reached a certain point in the main quest. More specifically, you need to have reached the 21st main mission called The Search for Truth. Without spoiling anything, this is where some big revelations for the main story occur. And the events of this mission grant you access to using Numen Skill Cards in Dead Island 2.

These are certainly powerful abilities, but you still need some good weapons to go along with them. The Trickster’s Knife is an especially good weapon for the early game of Dead Island 2. Plus, you should work on getting the Electrocutor Officer Sword as soon as you can.
