Diablo 4: How to unlock the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Dungeon

To unlock the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Dungeon, you will have to play Diablo 4 in World Tier 4. This is because the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Dungeon is unique as it houses the Beast in the Ice, an Endgame Boss. As such, facing and defeating this boss will possibly end up in Unique item drops. While this encounter has been available since the release of the Season of the Blood, you can fight this boss either on the Seasonal or the Eternal Realm. For that to happen, however, you will have to collect the following items:

  • 9x Distilled Fear. This item is one of the many possible drops you get for completing Tier 30+ Nightmare Dungeons. This is by far the hardest thing you will need to get since it isn’t a guaranteed drop. I hope the RNG overlords smile upon you.
  • 250x Sigil Powder. Sigil Powder is the residual reward you get when you salvage Sigils at The Occultist. Depending on how rare the Sigil is – that is, the higher the tier- the more Sigil Powder you will receive.

Once you have both materials and their required amounts, visit The Occultist and craft the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil. With this item, you will be able to reach and face the Beast in the Ice in the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Dungeon. You can find it in the Desolate Highlands, just south of Kyovashad.

Now that you can access the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Dungeon in Diablo 4, prepare yourself for your battle against The Beast in the Ice. You can tackle this enemy by moving away from his attacks and attacking him from behind. Since he uses mostly cold-based attacks, you might as well be using cold resistance gear or consuming cold resistance-boosting items such as potions.
