Is there a Steering Wheel in LEGO Fortnite?

Jonesy, take the wheel.

Though you can make all sorts of contraptions in LEGO Fortnite, can you attach a Steering Wheel to a vehicle? In this guide, you’ll learn the answer to that question and a bit more.

Does LEGO Fortnite have a Steering Wheel?

Sadly, LEGO Fortnite doesn’t have Steering Wheels yet. It’s very bizarre to me that LEGO Fortnite launched without Steering Wheels considering you can make cars, boats, airships, and so much more. Even The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom came with Steering Wheels, which is why we got so many amazing creations in that game and currently can’t make as many equally impressive devices just yet in LEGO Fortnite.

You might notice I keep using the word “yet,” and that is because I think Epic Games will include Steering Wheels in an update to come. It would be foolish for Epic Games not to put a Steering Wheel in LEGO Fortnite considering the community’s want for one.

How to steer vehicles in LEGO Fortnite

Though we don’t have Steering Wheels yet in LEGO Fortnite, that hasn’t stopped people from making vehicles with steering capabilities. In the guides that I’ve written about making vehicles in LEGO Fortnite, I’ve always outlined how to give your vehicle the ability to turn left and right.

If all you do is put a Thruster and a Button on your vehicle in LEGO Fortnite, all that’ll happen is you’ll go forward. To go left and right, you need to create two dynamic blocks that aren’t attached to anything with a Thruster and Button attached on the left and right of your vehicle. Encase the dynamic block and, when you want to turn, toggle the Button. This is the best we have so far.

To me, LEGO Fortnite is a great foundation. I’m excited for Epic Games to roll out updates to make this amazing mode even better, and that includes adding a Steering Wheel. For now, we have answers to all your other burning questions, and I bet one of them is learning if trees respawn in LEGO Fortnite.
