Maneater 100% collectibles guide: Landmark, license plate, chest locations

Collect 'em all. Or don't. I don't care what you do, man.
Maneater - 100% collectibles guide: collect all landmarks, license plates, chests

Finding collectibles in Tripwire Interactive‘s Maneater isn’t exactly time-consuming, but getting all of them does require you to do some searching. Normally, you’d need to upgrade your sonar mutagen and mash the sonar button regularly while you’re swimming in order to cover your map with question marks that you’ll need to seek out. Or you can just look at the pictures I’ve taken that show the locations for every last one of the game’s collectibles, including landmarks, license plates, and chests. I think we both know why you’re here.

There are just three types of collectibles in Maneater. The most important and most entertaining of these are the landmarks. You get a special reward if you find all of these in an area; plus, each one has a funny bit of dialogue delivered by the always wonderful Chris Parnell. They also add a fair amount of personality to the game.

Then there are the license plates. These are often located in places out of the water, and it might be some time before you can reach them. You home in on them just like enemies though, so even if you can’t quite reach one normally, you might still be able to bite them. Unlike the landmarks, these aren’t funny and don’t give you anything unique. But they can be fun to try and grab, as some aren’t quite as simple as they seem.

Finally, Maneater is just swimming (Don’t look at me like that.) with chests to collect. These are found all over and are often hidden in tunnels right by breakable grates. If you’re looking for these and can’t quite find them, check a nearby grate and you’ll probably be able to spot them there.

I think that’s enough for the info-dumping, so without further ado, here are pictures of each of the game’s eight areas with every collectible marked on them.

And there you have it. The locations of all of Maneater‘s collectibles. I’m not sure why you’re still reading this. The article’s over. You don’t have to go home, and well, I guess you could stay here. I’m certainly not going to stop you.
