Microsoft has no plans to reward early adopters of the Xbox One now that it is Kinect-less

It has been announced that Microsoft are now knocking $100 off the Xbox One and allowing gamers to buy the console without Kinect. Whilst many fans see this as a good thing, there are a few who resent having to pay an extra $100 only for the company to offer the console for cheaper only a few months later.

When Euro Gamer asked a spokesperson from Microsoft if the early buyers will get any kind of reward for their loyalty he said “No. As with many first generation products, the offerings can be expected to change and evolve over time. Kinect remains an integral part of our vision. Xbox One is better with Kinect, making games, TV and entertainment come alive with premium experiences.”

When the Xbox One had a price drop a few months ago in the UK, early buyers were also refused any sort of reward for being the first to buy the console. The fact that the Kinect is due to be sold separate and probably cheaper than its original $100 will only add salt to the wounds of the early buyers who resent being forgotten about by Microsoft.

Did you buy the Xbox One as soon as it launched? Do you think those that did deserve some kind of acknowledge from Microsoft? Let us know in the comments.
