A new special tool.

How to Grapple Melee Attack in RE4 Separate Ways

While your main weapons are your guns, Separate Ways gives you the Grapple Gun for multiple purposes. But how can you make its attack work? How you can use the Grapple Melee Attack in Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways is by standing far away from a stunned enemy and pressing the ‘F’ key.

Normally, once you damage an enemy enough times, you’ll stun them. This prompts the ‘F’ key to do a sweeping kick for a Melee attack. But this is only if you’re standing close enough. As Leon, all you could do were up-close melee attacks. Now as Ada, she can use the Grapple Gun to get a little closer.

There’s a certain distance away you have to be for her to use the Grapple Gun, but once you’re there, simply hit the same ‘F’ key. Ada will automatically grapple to the enemy, propelling herself towards them and hitting them with a Melee Attack. This move is useful for when you want to keep your distance, but once they’re stunned, get up close and personal.

That’s really how easy it is to perform this move! I was a little confused when trying this out for the first time, thinking the game wasn’t giving me the prompt or I was too close. But once I understood how it worked, it’s now super easy to perform.
