Borderland Pre-Sequel Is Coming

There have been many rumors going around about the possibility of another Borderland game, and when Gearbox Studio Head Randy Pitchford was asked, his response was pretty straight forward. “We are currently not working on Borderlands 3”. That is true, however what he didn’t mention, or comment on that another studio (2K Austrailia) was working on another Borderlands title. The Pre-Sequel will be sending four new vault hunters into space to battle low gravity, zero atmosphere, and raving, psychotic astronauts.

Murdered: Soul Suspect New Trailer and Bonus announced

Murdered: Soul Suspect is an upcoming action-adventure video game, developed by Airtight Games and published by Square Enix. The game will release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.  It will release on June 3, 2014 in North America and on June 6, 2014 in Europe. In Europe, The Limited Edition version of the game will include a secret journal, used by Ronan and Joy to uncover leads about the murders terrorizing the people of Salem. This collectible journal gives you special insight into the game, featuring details about the events in the story, as well as the killer, and includes special never-before-seen artwork.

Report: Far Cry 4 to be set in the Himalayas

According to Eurogamer Far Cry 4 will be released in the first half of 2015 and be set around the snowy mountain ranges of the Himalayas. Ubisoft is currently aiming to release it during the next financial year (before the end of March 2015). A source told Eurogamer the first glimpse will be shown off in some form during Ubisoft’s annual press conference at E3 in June, one source told Eurogamer.

Keen on a remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Odyssey? New n Tasty Remake Will Have to Sell 25K Copies

Lorne Lanning told Eurogamer at GDC that Oddworld: New n Tasty will be priced at $30 and will need to sale 25K to fund a remake of Abe’s Exodus. “This game will play better, look better, and you’ll have more fun with for more hours of play than games you’re paying $60 for,” Lanning said. “That’s a promise. And I can say that with absolute confidence.”

Walmart Will Be Accepting Used Video Games This Year

Walmart will enter the used video game market this year and starting March 26 you will be able to trade in used games at 3,100 Walmart locations nation wide. Games will be sold at Walmart later this year after the initial trade in period and they build up  stock. Walmart will not offer the option of receiving cash for game trade-ins, nor will it accept video game hardware, you will on receive credit that can be used at Walmart stores and Sams Club.

Ghost Recon Online is now Ghost Recon Phantoms, Launches In April

After many changes in development and a 2 year long Beta, Ghost Recon online is now going to be called Ghost Recon Phantoms and will launch this April. “The name change is directly linked to the new backstory and the new geopolitical context of the game. Ghost Recon, the brand, is about showcasing a realistic depiction of tomorrow’s battlefield. The very nature of conflicts is changing.” said  producer Corey Facteau.

Gauntlet Reboot Announced

WB will be launching a digital portfolio of older IP’s from WB and Midway brands, this will also included new IP’s and the first game will be the Reboot of Arcade Classic Gauntlet. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced Gauntlet, a completely modernized action RPG version of the celebrated dungeon crawler, will be available this summer via Steam for PC, offering full support for SteamOS and the upcoming Steam Machines shipping the second half of this year. The game will lead the launch of WB Games Vault, a direct-to-digital portfolio that will deliver paid games based on popular Warner Bros. and Midway brands, plus original IP, across multiple digital networks.  Source WB Press release

Cyberpunk 2077 Unaffected By Witcher 3 Delay

Cyberpunk 2077  CD Projekt’s other upcoming game is unaffected by Witcher 3 Wild Hunt recent delay to Feb 2015, that’s good new since Cyberpunk 2077 is one of my most wanted up coming games. Earlier this week, CD Projekt gave the news that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt won’t would be pushed from its 2014 release date to 2015, which one would have to wonder how that effect other games from the company.

Phil Spencer – We shouldn’t have “sugar-coated” the Xbox One controversy

Microsoft had huge backlash from video game players after their initial Xbox one details surfaced, with the all ways online DRM, and rumors of no used games. Microsoft even stuck with those plans for a while, but they later chanced stance, but they lost a lot of good will from the past Gen. Today Phil Spencer seems to think it might have been the wrong thing to do, “I learned a ton last summer as leader of our groups about being true to your core vision about what a product is, not being confusing, and frankly, when you’re going to say something to a consumer that might put them off, it’s better to just be direct and honest, rather than trying to sugar-coat something that might be controversial.”

Shovel Knight delayed

Shovel Knight an Indie platform game by developer Yacht Club Games for the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and PC Steam is now delayed from its March 31 release date announced today on their Kickstarter page, no new date given.  Shovel Knight is being directed by former WayForward Technologies member Sean Velasco.
