While the specific time for each vendor will vary depending on the type of inventory they carry in the game, each vendor will have their inventory renewed every 24 to 48 in-game hours. After that time has elapsed, you will be able to continue purchasing a specific item you need or hope to find some other that was previously unavailable. Moreover, if you are looking to sell items, you will also benefit from waiting for that same time frame. This is because, more often than not, the vendors will have a very limited budget to purchase your goods, especially if they are contraband. After waiting, your vendor of choice will have a new amount of credits as well.
While you can just go and do some side quests while time passes, the best way to force your vendors to renew their inventory is to wait. No, don’t you just stand there and go for a cup of coffee in real time! Waiting is a mechanic in which you sit down and press the wait button when prompted. You will get to wait for a specific amount of time up to 24 hours at a time. You can repeat this waiting process as much as you like.

This differs from Skyrim since you don’t need to sit to wait in that game. There were also dragons and giants, so that’s that. You will find chairs or seats near vendors most of the time. Wait there and then interact with the vendors once again to check their inventory. And no, you don’t have to leave the area for them to reload their goods. Just talk to them again and you will see new items and a brand-new budget for your sales.
