Many materials in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are useful for a variety of things. For example, you can attach a Keese Wing to an arrow to make it fly farther, or a Keese Eyeball for a homing arrow. Also, you can use them for potion recipes, as well as armor upgrades at Great Fairy Fountains. Ice Keese specifically are similar, but they have unique chilling properties. We’ll explain where to find and farm Ice Keese in Tears of the Kingdom.
Ice Keese locations in Tears of the Kingdom
You can find Ice Keese in a plethora of locations, usually in cold regions. They’re most notable for showing up in the Hebra Mountains, or around Mount Lanayru. Also, the Gerudo Highlands have some freezing mountaintops, but you can still find Ice Keese at smaller cold locations.

Remember the starting area from Breath of the Wild? The Great Plateau has a snowy area where Ice Keese are found. Sometimes, Ice Keese live inside caves, which are new types of Discoveries in Tears of the Kingdom. Or, some will show up around skull camps that harbor Bokoblins. Again, most of these caves and camps need to be in cold regions, and it’s easier to find Ice Keese at night.
Still having trouble farming them? When you’re scavenging for Ice Keese in these chilling areas, make sure to track them with Sensor+. This is a Purah Pad upgrade available if you find Robbie and help him get back to his laboratory in Hateno Village.

If you take a photo of an Ice Keese, you can track it once you’ve unlocked Sensor+. Now, if you’re hunting Ice Keese, when you’re nearby one, the Sensor will start making noises, similar to the Shrine Sensor.
Overall, where you’ll find and farm these Ice Keese in Tears of the Kingdom are at the locations shown in the maps above. Just make sure to search at night, and have that Sensor going.
