Alien: Isolation follows Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda, as an adult as she travels to Sevastopol space station to learn the truth about her mother’s disappearance. During her investigation, Amanda encounters a horrifying Alien creature and must fight for survival. The horror adventure emphasizes stealth as Amanda uses her wit to avoid the Alien.

Along the way, players can use tools like a flamethrower and a motion tracker. Aside from the deadly creature, Amanda must also survive androids and hostile humans. Those who enjoy the free Alien Isolation download can also purchase several add-ons with bonus levels and new characters from Epic Games Store.

The second free Epic Games Store title this week is Hand of Fate 2. This dungeon crawler follows players in a “living board game” where a deck of cards determines the next stage. Battle the Dealer in a game of life or death, choosing each move carefully.

Looking ahead to next week

Next week, Epic Games Store fans will see a special offer for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms. Any player who logs into the game via Epic Games Store between April 29 and May 6 will receive the Epic Champions of Renown pack. The bundle includes several Chests and Champions, as well as some Familiars. If you’re a new player, next week is a great time to get started with the hefty giveaway. For those who are unfamiliar, this Dungeons & Dragons game features characters and stories from several realms, including Baldur’s Gate and the Forgotten Realms novels.
