Drained Conch Cup can be used to refine the Sword of Narzissenkreuz to Rank 5 in Genshin Impact; however, the entire process requires some hard work.
In order to refine the Sword of Narzissenkreuz in Genshin Impact, you will need to collect four Drained Conch Cups. However, the process of acquiring all of the Drained Conch Cups is a bit lengthy and confusing. In this guide, we will show you how to collect all the Drained Conch Cups in Genshin Impact, alongside the process of refining the Sword of Narzissenkreuz.
Location of all Drained Conch Cups in Genshin Impact
Drained Conch Cup #1 Institute of Natural Philosophy
The first Drained Conch Cup can be found inside a room in the Institute of Natural Philosophy, but it will be guarded by some Rifthounds. You will first come here during the Aqueous Tidemarks quest. After unlocking the room by interacting with the mechanism outside, defeat the Rifthounds inside. Once the Rifthounds have been defeated, the Precious Chest will become available for you to loot.
Inside this Precious Chest, you will find the first Drained Conch Cup. You can also get a Hydroculus in this room. If you have missed this Drained Conch Cup during the quest, teleport back to the nearby waypoint and make your way to this location to get the Drained Conch Cup.
Drained Conch Cup #2 Narzissenkreuz Ordo
The second Drained Conch Cup in Genshin Impact can be found inside the Narzissenkreuz Ordo. Once you have completed the Aqueous Tidemarks quest, head toward the book sign around the Institute of Natural Philosophy area. Here, you will find a book on a table. Go near the book and press Read to enter Naezissenkreuz Ordo.
On your left, you will find a Precious Chest and an Exquisite Chest. Inside the precious chest, you will get your second Drained Conch Cup.

Drained Conch Cup #3 Bravais’ Hidden Study
Obtaining the third Drained Conch Cup is a tough task. It requires you to collect all the seven Mysterious Ores of Genshin Impact. These Mysterious Ores are spread across different locations in Fontaine. You will also get some by finishing the Fontaine World Quests. Once you have collected all the Mysterious Ores, you will obtain an Arkhium Stock.
After acquiring the Arkhium Stock, forge it into Arkhium Lumenite from the Forging Press following a lengthy process. After you have obtained the Arkhium Lumenite, teleport to the Central Laboratory Ruins Waypoint. Now, head west to find a chest in front of a cave. Go near the gate of the cave, and use the Arkhium Lumenite to unlock it. This will also unlock the “Not So Strait Is The Gate” achievement.
Once inside, head straight till you reach a Luxurious Chest. On the left side of this chest, you will find a path blocked by a barrier. However, you can climb the wall from the right side and get to the other side of the barrier. On the other side of the barrier, you will find more chests. Among them, the third Drained Conch Cup can be found in the Precious Chest.
Drained Conch Cup #4 Loch Urania
To obtain the final Drained Conch Cup of Genshin Impact, you must finish The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes first. Once you have finished the quest, head toward the cave at the north of Loch Urania. In this cave, you will find a Precious Chest beside Pahsiv. Inside this chest, you will get the fourth Drained Conch Cup.
How to refine the Sword of Narzissenkreuz using the Drained Conch Cup
Once you have collected all four Drained Conch Cups, head over to the fountain of Annapausis using the Annapausis Teleport Waypoint. Upon reaching here, interact with the Little Fountain and choose the “Offer up the Drained Conch Cup” option. This will automatically add a Surging Sacred Chalice to your inventory. Now, repeat the process three more times to obtain four Surging Sacred Chalices.
Go to the Weapon inventory and click on the Sword of Narzissenkreuz. Click on refine and then add a Surging Sacred Chalice to the Identical Weapon Materials box. Use all the Surging Sacred Chalices this way to refine the Sword of Narzissenkreuz to Rank 5.
