All Hall of Champions chests in Destiny 2 Into the Light, explained

Get familiarized with the area, and make sure to spend that Bravery wisely

The Hall of Champions in Destiny 2 Into the Light has so much new stuff for Guardians to obtain. The entire room is made up of chests, and while it’s not as illustrious as Xur’s location on Eternity, it brings its own theme to the table. A theme that may make the chest locations a bit confusing. We’re going to earn some bravery and take a look at all Hall of Champions chests in Destiny 2 Into the Light.

A plethora of chests await you the first time you enter the Hall of Champions, but you can’t open any of them yet. To open the chests, you’ll have to raise your rank with Shaxx and earn a certain amount of Trophies of Bravery. But which chests correspond to the three classes? And what’s with the two chests to the left of Shaxx?

Gear Chests explained

The chests that largely populate the Hall of Champions, aka gear chests, are crates with individual pieces of armor. There is a chest for each piece of armor for every class, along with the three unique class items. The armor sets are similar in style to some OG D2 armor, as stated by the devs, and show off your class pride with their Guardian Games colors.

However, unlike Eternity, the icons for which sets of chests correspond to which class are not clearly visible. That’s why it’s good to know that Titan chests are first, Hunters are second, and Warlocks are third in order when walking into the Hall of Champions. And here is the order from left to right for every chest section: chest, head, class item, arms, legs. Just make sure you double-check which chest area you’re opening from before you spend your hard-earned currency on the wrong gear.

BRAVE Chest explained

The BRAVE chest is the first chest on the left of Lord Shaxx. After you complete your first Onslaught mission, the BRAVE chest is available for you to use whenever you want. Provided that you have a sufficient amount of Trophies of Bravery.

Essentially, the BRAVE chest allows you to roll any of the BRAVE weapons you have already obtained once. This is great for those who want to go for those Into the Light god rolls and provides an easy way of farming for weapons.

Gift of the Thunder Gods Chest explained

Finally, to the right of the BRAVE weapons chest is the Gift of the Thunder Gods chest. The Gift of the Thunder Gods chest is basically how you raise your Guradians light level to 1810. Inside the chest, there’s an entire 1810 armor set, 2 primary, special, and 1 heavy weapon all at 1810, and two special Exotics.

You get one Exotic weapon and a piece of armor, the latter of which is based on your class. The weapon on the other hand will always be the Thunderlord Exotic, and of course, both of these are from 1810. There’s not really much use for these chests if you’re playing on a returning character. But if you’re like me, and are starting your new Titan, or are completely new to Destiny 2, this chest should be the first stop as soon as you can skip the New Light tutorial.
