Once you finally tell Yuffie to bring it and get her into your party, you have a whole new Folio to play around with. We’ll go over the best Folio upgrades you should get for Yuffie in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth so she can easily mesh with your party.
FF7 Rebirth: Best Folio upgrades for Yuffie
Yuffie is both an excellent melee fighter and ranged elemental damage dealer with her Ninjutsu. She’s extremely versatile, and once you unlock her she’ll already have some Folio upgrades unlocked. Adding onto those, here are the best Folio upgrades for Yuffie in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Halcyon Descent
Both Yuffie and Cloud with Halcyon Descent will leap into the air and dish out a combo while airborne. This is a Synergy Ability that takes a bit to charge up, but once it does you’ll unleash a nasty attack on the enemy.
The cool thing about this is that it has an extra effect on a Staggered foe since it’ll give you an Attack Power boost and extend the Staggered time. Yuffie and Cloyd can easily Stagger foes by Pressuring enemies, I was able to easily Pressure as Yuffie by choosing the correct Elemental Ninjutsu for the enemy’s weakness.
Precision Defense ATB
I often struggled to figure out how to raise my ATB faster, which made it harder to hit the attacks I wanted. Luckily, Yuffie has a Stat Boost called Precision Defense ATB to help with that.
This will fill your ATB gauge after blocking with perfect timing. Since perfect blocking will fill your ATB, this is a powerful Stat Boost to have on hand.
Foxflame
For a Synergy Skill, Foxflame is a lot more powerful than you’d think. With partners like Aerith, Red XIII, or Cait Sith, just hold the button to gather strength and unleash a charged attack. I always go for the charged Synergy Skill attacks in combat since they’re free actions and can inflict serious damage.
With Yuffie’s Elemental Ninjutsu, you can easily change the affinity to match the enemy’s weakness. Foxflame even works when airborne, making Foxflame an incredible Synergy Skill. You should at least have one chargeable Synergy Skill unlocked per party member.
United Refocus
Yuffie and Red XIII with United Refocus will be able to gain a temporary 3-charge ATB gauge, which helps Yuffie and Rex XIII gain ATB charges even faster. This is another common Synergy Ability that I always made sure to activate at least once during a boss battle.
Although it only works with Red XIII, any Synergy Ability that gives you a 3-charge ATB gauge is good to grab. It allows you to dish out powerful attacks sooner, especially ones that can consume all three charges for devastating damage.
Afflicted Debuff Duration Down
This Stat Boost will reduce the duration of detrimental status effect affliction by 30%, which is a decently high number for a Stat Boost. Afflicted Debuff Duration Down is available at Party Level 6 and is worth the 15 SP.
While there are plenty of Stat Boosts on your party members’ Folios that give minimal upgrades, this one, in particular, gives Yuffie a much-needed boost for when she gets hit with negative status effects. Somehow, my Yuffie always ended up with some annoying status effect, leading me to unlock this Stat Boost sooner rather than later.
With Yuffie’s Folio covered, there are also characters like Barret, Tifa, and Cloud that have excellent Folio upgrades.
