God of War, Returnal, and Demon’s Souls may be heading to PC, if GeForce NOW leak is accurate [Updated]

That's a lot to take in.

[Update – September 14 @ 12:30 PM ET]: In a response to Wccftech, Nvidia has stated that the list of games discovered via datamine is a mix of released games and “speculative titles, used only for internal tracking and testing.” In other words, the datamine didn’t leak God of War and Returnal for PC, but revealed a list created by Nvidia for employee use only. This is why it pays to be skeptical.

The original story, published on September 14, is as follows:

With Uncharted making the leap over to PC, some may wonder what PlayStation exclusives are coming next. Well, if a recent Nvidia GeForce NOW leak can be believed, then the answer is: a lot of them. According to the leak, God of War, Returnal, and many other Sony-brand games are making their way to PC. The list has other surprises, as well.

The list of games was shared on Reddit by user OnkelJupp late last night. It includes the list, and links up a Medium post by developer Ighor July, who datamined the service and provided step-by-step instructions. What Ighor found squirreled away in the datamine is impressive, if real.

As mentioned, PC versions of both God of War and Returnal are on display, but they’re not the only ones in Sony’s catalogue. It also includes Demon’s Souls, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet & Clank (possibly the 2016 remake), Ghost of Tsushima, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. While I am tempted to believe the leak could be real, the caliber of the games listed, and their importance to Sony, gives me pause. When Sony announced it swooped up porting developer Nixxes to bring PlayStation games to PC, I held strong doubts for some titles. Sure, I can go so far as to see Ghost of Tsushima or Demon’s Souls coming this way eventually. But Gran Turismo 7? God of War? Ehh.

Uncharted Legacy Of Thieves Collection Playstation Showcase 2021 Pc Trailer Early 2022 Release

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy are heading to PC soon.

Unannounced games

If your eyebrows can raise further, the list also contains games that have yet to be revealed — if they exist. Kingdom Hearts IV, Gears 6, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Final Fantasy VII Remake, BioShock 2022, and others are allegedly on the way, according to this leak. Honestly, it reads off like an unlikely collection of dream games for PC owners. And again, I am a bit iffy on it. Halo 5: Guardians is shown, and 343 Industries has made it abundantly clear that it has little interest in porting it over. Regardless, even if it is the most unloved Halo, it would be nice to see it complete The Master Chief Collection.

The entire list is on that Reddit thread if you’d like to give it a gander. Just keep in mind that it could be inaccurate or fake, even if many of us would love to see some of these games on PC.
