How To Complete Venomous Revenge

Hogwarts Legacy: How to complete ‘Venomous Revenge’

Everyone wants a piece of the highly venomous plant in this game.

Not to be confused with ‘Venomous Valor’, this side quest still involves stealing Venomous Tentacula for very odd motivations, in case the first time wasn’t enough, but at least there are plants to harvest. Here’s how to complete ‘Venomous Revenge’ in Hogwarts Legacy.

‘Venomous Revenge’ starting location

This quest starts with Ackley Barnes, leaning against a wall behind the Three Broomsticks as any credible person does. He tells you he wants revenge on a business partner, Lawley, who stopped working with him for being too volatile, and asks you to steal the man’s prized Venomous Tentacula. If you press him for details, he even reveals a Tentacula ate his business partners’ Kneazle.

Lawley’s cellar is just behind you down the street, and even opens for you, as if no one can see you climb in.

Be careful upon entering the cellar. Lawley himself will be right there, and if he catches you the quest starts over. Disillusionment Charm is your friend as always. Hide behind the big crate in front of you and wait for him to move on by, or distract him by using magic.

Make your way to the door on the right end of the room, which you also need to lockpick open.

This next room has coins on a crate to the left, but it’s also near a hole in the wall Lawley patrols so be careful picking it up.

Sneak down to the open cavern and three level 29 Thornback Scurriers will crawl out from the ground. You can easily sneak around them if you don’t want to fight them. This room has several potion ingredients and a Mandrake by the right side, and Chinese Chomping Cabbages on tables to the left.

Beyond this room is the Venomous Tentacula in question, as well as some free Dittany. Collect the plant and make your exit, but remember the spiders and Lawley are still there.

You can, as usual, choose to part with the Tentacula for a fee or not. If you do, you get 500 gold, and either way the Dragonhide Herbiologist Gloves for your efforts.

At least they’re kind of stylish.
