MrBeast, the YouTube content creator who recently passed PewDiePie in total subscribers, is now getting a Fortnite tournament where you could win $1 million USD. Epic Games is running the tournament this weekend. You’ll not only be able to earn MrBeast-themed goods, but vie for a good chunk of cash as well.
The rules of the tournament are nicely cut-and-dried. During the MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge, you must earn ‘Score.’ The player with the most Score at the end of the tournament is the winner. See? I told you it was rather simple. Okay, there are a few other things to consider. Your account will need to be at level 15 with 2FA enabled. Contestants also need to be at least 13 years of age, and will need permission from a parent or legal guardian if under 18. There are, of course, other rules, such as following the Fortnite code of conduct. You can read through all the official rules here.
But if you have all the boxes checked, then the MrBeast Fortnite tournament will be open to you. The event begins on December 17 starting at noon ET and runs until 3 PM ET that day. MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge island will go live ahead of time on December 13 at 9 AM ET. On said island, you’ll need to “avoid hazards, collect coins, and survive extreme challenges.” Rack up enough Score, and by the end of the three-hour tournament you might be $1 million USD richer.

MrBeast Fortnite outfits and… an umbrella
As mentioned, the island itself goes live four days early, and you can collect some loot ahead of time. Completing MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Quests starting on December 13 will net you a new spray. However, during the tournament, the top players can earn a themed umbrella. There will also be an outfit, as well a pickaxe and ‘Backdrop Wrap’ in the in-game store. There’s also an emote that’ll have your character “shoot cash from blasters.”
