We’re now at the Path of Gentle Breezes stage in Genshin Impact‘s Moonlight Merriment event. That means the activities will take us to Mondstadt. Here’s our Genshin Impact Moonchase Tales Part 2 guide to help you with the new tasks from the Cloud Retainer.

Genshin Impact: Moonchase Tales Part 2 guide – Cooking with the Cloud Retainer in Mondstadt
Moonchase Tales Part 2 takes place in the Falcon Coast zone of Genshin Impact. Make your way there and talk to the Cloud Retainer. You’re told to look for a special kind of rice, so just follow the wisps of smoke from the pots. You’ll see a wind current and, eventually, you’ll stumble upon an NPC who’s being attacked by mobs.
After rescuing the hapless fella, you’re told to escort the transport balloon. Go ahead and clear the path of obstacles, mobs, and even a slime balloon. When you reach the end, you’ll spot a box with supplies. You’ll also receive the rice that the Cloud Retainer is looking for, so bring it back to our pal.
When you’re ready, talk to the Cloud Retainer to start cooking. As usual, you’ll see three stoves here and one fire. The stone plates on the ground can still be used to move the flame to the left or right, and Hydro/Cryo abilities will help lower the temperature when needed. The main difference here is that a couple of Cryo slimes will spawn at intervals, which means they could lower the temperature too fast if you don’t take them out soon.
When you’re done, the Cloud Retainer will hand you a new recipe and you’ll complete the Moonchase Tales Part 2 activity in Genshin Impact. We just need to wait for a few more days until the next stage. Lastly, if you’re able to complete the other parts of the event, you probably have enough Festive Fever by now to start the Moonlight Merriment Part 2 quest.
