S-tier Governing Stones

  • Gyrate
  • Reconstruct
  • Slash
  • Tempest

You should at least have one of these S-tier Governing Stones equipped for your Seneschal Companion. Gyrate makes your Seneschal whirl its legs around to quickly deal damage to surrounding enemies. It’s one of the best Stones for melee AoE damage.

I’ve been using Reconstruct constantly, and it makes it so that my Seneschal provides me with a healing beam for a portion of my Maximum Life. It has kept me above half-health for the majority of my playthrough, and I’ve yet to feel like swapping it out. Slash is another good Melee Class Stone that’ll pummel enemies in front of the Seneschal.

Tempest is a wild one because it’ll electrically charge one enemy and additional enemies each second over time. Also, if the enemy dies, Tempest will spread to another enemy for bonus damage. This is definitely the best Range Class Governing Stone to have.

A-tier Governing Stones

  • Bushwhack
  • Focus Fire
  • Protect
  • Lightning Bolt

These A-tier Governing Stones are still decent picks, but just not as good as the S-tier ones. Bushwhack has your Seneschal quickly ambush enemies, dealing damage to each target. They can also strike multiple times for extra damage.

Focus Fire will channel a ray of fire on multiple targets. This one’s good if you want your Seneschal to deal damage over time. There’s also Protect if you don’t want Reconstruct. This one will materialize a protective Barrier on the player for a portion of their Maximum Life.

Then you have Lightning Bolt, which I used for a while and found to be helpful. This will launch a bolt of Lightning at a single target to deal damage. The cool thing about this is the fact that it’ll arc to other targets to deal a portion of the original damage.

B-tier Governing Stones

  • Firefly
  • Flash of Adrenaline
  • Impale
  • Autodefense

Although you may find some of these Governing Stones useful, I don’t believe they compare to the higher tiers. Firefly deploys a small construct to land on a target and explode multiple times. This just isn’t as impactful as the other Stones that deal more damage to multiple enemies.

Flash of Adrenaline is good if you want to grant yourself bonus damage for a short duration of time. Again, though, I’d rather have a healing or protecting supportive Stone than this one. Impale will perform a line attack on all enemies in front of the Seneschal Construct. It’s decent, but it won’t be as effective as the other DPS Stones.

Finally, Autodefense will have your Seneschal Companion activate an antimaterial field around itself to shoot down enemy projectiles. But it quickly becomes useless against another player or a boss since it cannot shoot down their projectiles.
