How to complete Drop In quest in Destiny 2

Ready to drop in, Guardian?

The only way to permanently keep the Allstar Vector Skimmer, or Hoverboard as the community has lovingly labeled it, is to complete the Drop In quest during Guardian Games 2024.

All Destiny 2 Drop In steps and how to complete them

Before you get access to the Drop In quest, you need to complete the Best in Class introduction quest which has eight steps. This is acquired by Eva Levante in The Tower and teaches you how to interact with Guardian Games 2024.

Once Best In Class is completed, you get the Drop In quest from Eva Levante. While you’ll get the Allstar Vector Skimmer up front, you won’t be able to keep it permanently after Guardian Games 2024 is over. To keep your Skimmer, you need to do one of the following three tasks:

  • Get a Medallion Score of 1,200.
  • Earn a top 10% score in Nightfall challenges.
  • Open your Focus Activity winners package three times.

I think getting a 1,200 Medallion Score is the easiest way to complete the Drop In quest. It will take a long time, but winning and opening three Champions Packages for winning Focus Activities and earning the top 10% of Nightfall challenges requires skill and luck.

You should aim to complete both of those, but rest assured you’ll complete Drop In and keep your Allstar Vector Skimmer by earning a 1,200 Medallion Score. Be sure you know how to farm Medallions, especially Platinum ones, fast during Guardian Games 2024 so you don’t waste any time.

Luckily, there is only one step to the Drop In quest. Once you’ve completed one of the tasks, Drop In will be completed and you can then focus on completing the Shoot to Score and Vying for Supremacy quests.

With the Drop In quest completed, you now permanently have access to the Allstar Vector Skimmer. You’ll still need to participate in the Focus Activities to win Guardian Games, but you’re free to take a break and grind some space rails with your fellow Guardians.
