If you’ve decided on who to spend the rest of your life within this farming and life sim, here’s how you can finally tie the knot.

Coral Island: Marriage guide

When the game doesn’t exactly outright tell you how to do things, it can be difficult to figure out where to go next. Luckily, we can help you find your one true love. How you can get married in Coral Island is by reaching 10 hearts with a romanceable character. This is also after partaking in their heart events, which are little scenes at different milestones of your relationship.

Also, if you’re unsure of how to gain hearts with someone, you must give them gifts that they either love or like. Read up on our gift guide to see what gifts every villager in Coral Island prefers.

How to date and propose

But before marriage comes dating, so to actually start dating someone you must reach eight hearts. Then the Sanchez Brothers who work at the Blacksmith will send you a letter telling you to gift the one you love a necklace. You can now purchase this necklace from their shop. Buy the necklace and gift it to the person you have at least eight hearts with to start dating.

So when do you get married? After reaching ten hearts with the person you’re dating, you’ll gain the chance to propose to them. Also make sure to go through all that person’s heart events, or else the wedding won’t happen. You’ll also want to upgrade your house to level three to actually be able to live together. After proposing, your wedding should trigger at some point.

Once you’ve married your loved one, you’ll eventually get the chance to have children! Apparently, you can have up to two children. Randomly, your spouse should start asking you whether you’re ready to have children or not.

Since this game was recently released out of Early Access, many players have yet to experience marriage, let alone having children. So, this information may not be up to date, depending on when you’re seeing this, but some players also believe you need to upgrade your house to level four. Once born, your children will become NPCs with their own personalities as they grow up on your farm.
