Annapurna Interactive, publisher of the recent Stray, held its second showcase earlier today. The fresh lineup of games caused many a viewer to no doubt exclaim “ooh,” “ahh,” and “wha.” There were many neat PC game announcements during the Annapurna Showcase today, and we listed them up with their trailers.

The Lost Wild
Probably standing as one of the more impressive games during the 2022 Annapurna Showcase, The Lost Wild is a first-person adventure game with dinosaurs. It’s a survival horror game by developer Great Ape Games, and it’ll release on PC in 2024. It’s a long ways away, for sure, but the new teaser trailer makes a convincing argument that it could be worth the wait.
Hindsight
Hindsight is a game coming to us from Joel McDonald, the creator of Prune. The narrative game follows the life of a woman from birth, who’s trying to “make sense of it all.” In the game, you investigate seemingly normal objects that hide secrets. Using various camera angles allows you to peer into these things, which take you through the protagonist’s memories. It’s an intriguing one, no doubt, and it’ll be available this year.
Flock
Flock is another new PC game announced during the 2022 Annapurna Showcase. As you might imagine, Flock is all about “the joy of flight.” You and some friends can gather together to collect creatures, flying alongside. It looks like a colorful, peaceful game. We don’t have a release window for it yet, but you can read more about it over on its Steam page.
Thirsty Suitors
Thirsty Suitors was announced last December. But starting today, you can play a bit of it in a new demo out on Steam. Annapurna also revealed that the game is going to launch onto not just PC, but for Game Pass in 2023.
Uvula
And now we get into “wha” territory. Uvula is a… game, I think, coming to us from Keita Takahashi, the creator of Katamari Damacy and Wattam. I have no idea what this is. The teaser begins with a close-up of the uvula (that dangly thing in your throat) in the mouth of a sleeping boy. The camera zooms out slowly before showing a dog lick the boy’s face. And that’s about all we got so far. Knowing Takahashi, Uvula could be another short, silly, but endearing game that flies under the radar.
Bounty Star
Bounty Star instantly grabbed my attention. It’s a third-person shooter, mashing up Western themes with mech combat. Shoot and slash your way through other mechs, all the while upgrading your base and customizing your metal friend with a menagerie of weapons. Out of all the game announcements during the 2022 Annapurna Showcase, Bounty Star was the one that gets my blood pumping the most. It’ll show up on PC via Steam next year.
Summing up the rest
Outside of the major announcements, there was plenty of other news coming out of the show. Hohokum, a PlayStation exclusive that came out in 2014, is now available on Steam for a modest price of $9.99 USD. Solar Ash, which impressed us when it launched on the Epic Games Store, is heading to Steam and Game Pass on December 6. Maquette, a puzzle game that released in March of 2021, is coming to Game Pass this winter. Finally, Cardboard Computer, the developer behind Kentucky Route Zero, has teased its next project, which you can see in the video below.
