Coral Island: All King scallop locations

The King of the scallops.

Out of all the many scavengeables throughout Coral Island, the King scallop can be one of the more difficult ones to spot, so we’ll detail all of the locations where you can find them.

If you’re looking to find this King scallop, either for your own purposes or for the Lake Temple Offerings, here’s where you can find it.

Where to find King scallop in Coral Island

This isn’t your usual forgeable like Wasabi or Shallots that appear growing in the grass. All the locations where King Scallop can be found in Coral Island are found while diving 50-60m. Once you unlock the ability to dive, there are tons of ocean-forgeable items you may find while clearing Coral Sites.

You can also find the King scallop during any season. The only problem is that you have to dive deep underwater, which may take a while. This is because as you clear Coral Sites, you’ll unlock more and more areas underwater that go even deeper. Since you start your playthrough at around 10m, you can imagine how long it’ll take to reach 50-60m.

Once you do get to that depth, you should spot a King scallop or two lying on the ocean floor. At its base level, it’ll sell for 40 coins, but it’s worth more if it’s of higher quality. To complete the Lake Temple Offerings, you’ll need to donate one King scallop to the Ocean Scavengeables bundle at the Crop Alter.

But what other uses could King scallops have? Well, you can turn it into an Artisan product using a Dehydrator. This will make it become a Dried King Scallop, which every single NPC likes as a gift.

After reading our villager gift guide, you’ll find out that gifting a King scallop on its own won’t be very successful. It’s a neutral gift to everyone on the island, so you may as well throw it in the Dehydrator if you’re going to gift it to someone.
