Far Cry 6 Unique Weapons Guide Unique Weapon Locations Yaran Contraband

In Far Cry 6, you’ll find dozens of standard weapons when you open FND caches or buy them from various NPCs. These can be fully modded, and you can change their mod attachments to your liking. In fact, I even consider some of these to be the best armaments that you can use throughout the campaign. Still, there are those that are rarer and extremely valuable. These so-called unique weapons have preset mods that can’t be changed. You’ll definitely want to add them to your collection. Here’s our Far Cry 6 guide to help you obtain all the unique weapons by opening Yaran Contraband chests and other means.

Note: For more information, check out our Far Cry 6 guides and features hub. Likewise, we’ll continue adding more weapon guides, so stay tuned.

Far Cry 6 guide: All unique weapons and Yaran Contraband chest locations

Unique weapons in Far Cry 6 can only be found in predetermined locations and sources. You can see the requirements when you mouse over a selection. For the most part, you’ll obtain most of them by opening Yaran Contraband chests. Yaran Contraband chests have a distinct symbol on the map: a box with a gun. However, the containers themselves are brown, leather cases with an ornate carving of a crocodile (seen in the featured image above).

The rest, however, are obtained via different means. For instance, there are those that require the completion of a Yaran Story (sidequest). Others, meanwhile, task you with finishing a Treasure Hunt (the end of each path or cavern tends to have a unique weapon). Lastly, a select few have special unlock requirements, such as building upgrades or activity completions. You can refer to the pages below for the Far Cry 6 unique weapons that you need help with.
